Schedule Reminder: No School Tomorrow

School News is landing in your inbox one day early because there is no school tomorrow, Friday, April 26. Our staff will be participating in an Archdiocese Professional Development Day.

High School Musical: Tonight is Opening Night!

It is show weekend! We can’t wait for opening night. Be sure to come out this weekend and see our talented 5th - 8th Grade cast and crew. Advance tickets are not sold; suggested donation at the gym door is $10 for adults and $5 for students.

School Board

JOIN THE BOARD: The School Board is now accepting applicants for three open positions for the June 2024 through June 2027 term. Learn more HERE and apply online by Monday, May 13. 


OPEN FORUM: The School Board is also accepting requests to speak at the Open Forum Meeting. We welcome all school families to attend the Open Forum on Monday, May 13 at 7pm. The forum represents an opportunity to share your ideas and thoughts on how things are progressing thus far or what could be done to make improvements. The first four people who submit a request will be placed on the agenda. Learn more HERE.  

Girls Basketball Tryouts

St. Barnabas Girls Basketball tryouts for the upcoming 2024 season school year are this Sunday.


Athletes in (rising) grades 7th-8th must attend at least one session on Sunday, April 28, or Sunday, May 5. Athletes are not required to attend both days. Assessments are completed by independent evaluators. Parents and coaches are not permitted in the gym during tryouts. 

St. Barnabas School Gym:

  • Rising 7th graders - 3:15pm - 4:15pm
  • Rising 8th graders - 4:15pm - 5:15pm
  • Rising 6th graders - no tryouts at this time. Once the registration process opens, the number of registered participants will be assessed. If two teams are required, tryouts will be scheduled at a later date.

Dress Down: Next Friday, May 3

Wow! For the 100th Anniversary Day of Giving, we challenged the students to contribute $1,000 collectively, and they would be rewarded with a free dress-down day. They donated $4,464.27! Thank you students, and enjoy your dress-down day next Friday.

May Crowning: Friday, May 10

On Friday, May 10, we will gather for our annual May Crowning. This is an incredibly meaningful and reverent day, and we invite each of you to join us for the 1:45pm Procession and Prayer Service. 


Our 2nd and 8th grade students have a special part in the prayer service. 2nd Grade families, click here for DETAILS. 8th-grade families may review May Crowning details on the Graduation EVENTS PAGE.


Preschool Families - we invite you to share in this day with the “big school”, and also remember to save the date for Preschool’s very own May Crowning on Thursday, May 23.

Medical Forms 

We remind you that some grade levels of students need medical forms on file for next year, and all student-athletes (PK - Grade 8) need a sports physical. Forms are due in August, prior to the start of school. COMPLETE DETAILS and FORMS ARE LINKED HERE.

Spirit Days Color Wars

Spirit Day is Friday, May 24, an 11:50 a.m. dismissal day before the Memorial Day holiday weekend. This year, we're kicking things up a notch with a friendly Color Wars! Get ready to rally behind your grade and showcase your team spirit. This year, we're kicking things up with a friendly Color Wars! All students are invited to wear their grade's color! Wear colors from home OR support the FSA by purchasing a specially designed Spirit Day shirt. Spirit Day

Chess Club: Year-End Session

Final session of the year! Sign up today for the FSA’s After School Enrichment Chess Club. Tuesday afternoons from 3pm - 4pm in the Innovation Center for Kindergarten - 8th Grade students. The cost is $75; session dates: 4/30, 5/7, 5/14, 5/21, 5/28. Register in MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT.

Art Fair Volunteers Needed

The ART FAIR is coming up and volunteers are greatly needed from May 17th-19th. Mrs. Bachler and all of the students have been working hard, and we need parents’ help to set up, work concessions during, and break down the event. Sign up to volunteer HERE.

YOUNG AUTHORS - The FSA is hosting its annual Young Authors event for Kindergarten-Grade 6 students. Learn more and order you book HERE. Completed books should be submitted by Friday, May 3.
