ptsa donations and membership

Donate to the Langley High School PTSA. A great way to show support for the efforts of the PTSA that you enjoy is to donate! We rely solely on your donations to accomplish the programming and events that support Langley. One hundred percent of your donations are used for the Langley High School community.

Note, this year we reduced the amount for membership so that you recognize the $7 membership fee goes outside of Langley -- the $7 goes to the state/local and national PTA organization.

Membership entitles you to vote at our meetings, but it is not required to attend our events, volunteer or request funds. If you want to support Langley and the programming at Langley, please donate! Click here to support the PTSA.

freshman open house

Langley welcomed its in-coming Class of 2028 at Freshman Open House on Thurs, Aug 15. Open House allowed new students to walk their schedule, meet their teachers and administrators and connect with old friends and meet new ones.

school bus safety

Parents and student drivers! Take a few moments to review school bus safety here at the beginning of the school year.

Drivers must stop in both directions when a stopped school bus is loading or unloading children, unless separated from the bus by a median. When there is a median, all lanes of traffic following the bus must stop (see configuration 4 in the diagram). It is considered reckless driving - a criminal offense - if you pass a stopped school bus unloading children.

See more about back to school safety on the FCPS website. We all help students arrive at school and back home safely each day.

don't toss that fruit

Donate whole uneaten fruit from your school lunch to SHARE of McLean. Look for the collection bins in the cafeteria and do your part to reduce food waste and to help our neighbors in need. In just two months last spring, Langley students donated more than 1700 pieces of fruit last year.

If you'd like to volunteer to help collect fruit and deliver it to SHARE (donations take place twice weekly), be sure to join Langley's new FruitFull club. For more information, contact LHS junior Elliot Pomper at elliot11137@gmail.com.
