CACM is working diligently to represent you legislatively, all while ensuring your health and safety are front and center with your educational goals. The Spring Forums and courses are bustling in CMworld, all while the Events team is hard at work putting the final touches on our first in-person event in 14 months!

That’s right, we’ll be hosting executives from across the state next week at The Executive Leadership Summit at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort. To those of you who are joining us, thank you. Your attendance and support of our desire to bring collaboration back to a face-to-face interaction is so appreciated. Thank you for trusting CACM. We look forward to a safe and exciting event.

If you are ready to join us in person, I invite you to check out our Events page to find out more about our upcoming Golf Tournaments. These fun, outdoor events will give us all an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and network with colleagues we perhaps haven’t seen in over a year!

I am looking forward to updating you all with more information after next week’s Executive Leadership Summit.

The Management Trust Acquires Advanced Association Management Services, Inc. (AAMS)
The Management Trust has acquired Advanced Association Management Services, Inc. (AAMS), a Ventura County community management company. AAMS owner Chris Alapont said she was attracted to The Management Trust by its employee ownership structure and innovative services. "Employee ownership ensures that my staff’s dedication over the years will be rewarded," she said. "It also creates a strong incentive for us to always improve our relationships with our clients through outstanding service. That, coupled with The Management Trust’s unique bundle of services, means this partnership will be a great benefit to AAMS clients." The Management Trust’s CEO, Bill Sasser, said, "We have traditionally served our Ventura County portfolio from our Thousand Oaks office. As recent growth has made a local presence necessary, we were attracted to Chris’s customer-centric focus, which made this acquisition an obvious good fit." Sasser said the Management Trust manages more than 100 community associations in Ventura and surrounding areas.

CACM Needs You!
We are so very fortunate to have members with a wealth of industry experience and knowledge. As a CACM instructor, you have the opportunity to shape our industry while sharing that knowledge and experience with our community managers. In short, you have the ability to help managers make important connections to course content while providing them with strategies to increase their effectiveness in the roles they serve.

Manager members who have held a valid CCAM for at least 5 years, as well as industry partners with expertise in a specific area of the CID industry, are encouraged to join our most-talented teaching team. Instructors earn CEUs and/or CAMEx points for session(s) they teach. Please contact Patty Sedia, your Education and Credentialing Administrator, at psedia@cacm.org for an application.
Looking for a Specialty Course!
Good news! CACM is offering two specialty courses in the next couple of months - Portfolio Management beginning June 8 and High Rise Management beginning July 13. These are prerequisite courses for the Portfolio Management Specialty Certificate and High Rise Management Certificate; however, they are open to any CCAM who wishes to learn more in these areas. Both of these courses earn 16 CEUs each and count towards recertification. For more information, please contact Debbie Griffiths, Education & Credentialing Advisor, at dgriffiths@cacm.org.
