Dearest Friends, Fans, & Folks,
Musically it's been a great few weeks as we've played shows under the stars of mountains near Pueblo, CO and played shows regionally every Wednesday night at the River City Grille, every Thursday at Blue Corn Harvest Caf, and every Sunday at Reunion Grille in Cedar Park, near Austin with the amazing players with whom I surround myself like Chris Reeves, Kurt Baumer, Mark Epstein, Joel Guzman, William B.B. Morse, Luiz Coutinho de Souza, Alex Salinas (Larry's son, and Mike Blakely. One highlight was the multi-class reunion we played for Marble Falls High where over five hundred former Mustangs showed for the concert that also served as a reunion for our local hometown heroes Next Exit. It's what I do.
As far as the family goes they're all healthy with Ryan doing well in a job for which he studied in environmental safety, Aubrie in personal fitness, Falon in nursing school, and our youngest, Mariah, working with me in my music business until she finds her own voice. Yvonna sends her love to all of you who support what I do.
At the end of the month I take off to Europe, flying to Geneva, then doing dates in France, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany before flying home from Munich. B. B. and Chris will be on the tour along with our Italian drummer, Stefano Bertolotti, who speaks multiple languages and drives the bus!
Please let me know if any of you are interested in a house concert, it can be outside your house too like the Veale's photograph enclosed in the email reveals.
vaya con Dios,
john Arthur martinez, Yvonna & Bette
