"The reward is in the ride."

The months of June and July featured many Texas miles, but also working getaways to Sedona, AZ and Whitefish, MT, the first with our wives and the latter as a trio, Kurt Baumer, Chris Reeves and yours truly. It's what I do. And, as one cattle rancher from San Angelo, Texas put it years ago, life is not just about the destination, more often than not it's about the journey. That journey will take us to Rhone-Alps (France) Geneva, Zurich, Basel (Switzerland), Insbruck (Austria) and Munich (Germany) in autumn.

Yvonna sends her love and thanks to all you who support what I do as the grown children move forward into their adult lives.

B.B. Morse, who will be inducted into the Western Swing Society Hall of Fame while were in Europe, recently taped a television show, Songwriters Across Texas, with Willie Nelson, Wes Starr, Red Volkaert & Freddie Powers airing in September. Luiz Coutinho de Souza just returned from a week long recording session in Mexico, smiling the whole time. While Joel Guzman, multi-Grammy award winning artist, and I have pushed back the start date on our new album project until after I return from Europe.
