WHEW - in addition to a lot of fun, the NADA show in Las Vegas can be A LOT to digest. Here are some ideas that we took away from the show this year:
1) End Buyer Exhaustion
In their quest to find their new vehicle, buyers might experience an overload of information, options, and competition. A dealership that can create a comfortable “oasis” for their potential and existing customers can differentiate from its competitors.
2) Resilient Dealers Need Adaptive Spaces
Obstacles, fluctuations in the marketplace, and new products all push dealers to be resilient and adapt to whatever comes next. Dealership furnishings, technology and architectural solutions need to be part of a reliable, “adaptive" solution and not add to the challenge.
3) Aging Dealers Create Opportunities
Like other sectors, many aging dealership owners are looking to retire. There are opportunities out there for younger owners to take over legacy dealerships and make them their own. A fresh start deserves fresh environments for customers and staff alike.
4) Parts Departments Deserve Recognition and Support
While parts and service departments account for roughly half of dealerships' gross profits, they are often under-staffed and deserve more focus. New workstations and storage solutions can help attract and retain service teams - and improve efficiency.
