ScrapFest is excited to announce that applications for ScrapFest 13 competition are now live! The 2023 ScrapFest event will be held on Friday, July 14, (along with Arts Night Out) and Saturday, July 15. They are seeking those interested in entering the sculpture competition and/or having an eco-art booth at the ScrapFest event. Competition deadline: March 18, 2023. Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center is accepting proposals for a group exhibition of artists who identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. The Gallery is seeking submissions of artwork made within the past three years which explores the experience of LGBTQ+ identified artists living in Michigan. This exhibition is in partnership with “Suits and the City,” whose mission is to promote the interests of LGBTQ+ persons in the Mid-Michigan area through education and advocacy and increase the visibility and integration of LGBTQ+ persons in the broader community through networking events. Deadline: April 5, 2023. NEW!

The Village Fine Arts Association in Milford, Michigan, seeks submissions for its 31st annual Poetry Art Night (PAN) competition and exhibit to be held at the Suzanne Haskew Arts Center. PAN is a visual arts and poetry competition and sale. Artists are invited to enter their 2- or 3-dimensional artwork, accompanied by a poem. All entered artwork must be inspired by, or related to, a poem and must be accompanied by that poem. Entered work is reviewed with poetry selection. Entered poetry may be written by the artist or commissioned poet, or can be previously published. Deadline: March 17, 2023.

Grosse Pointe News in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, announces a call to all Michigan artists for their "Fresh Takes"art contest. Awards include, $1000 1st prize; $500 2nd prize; $500 Gretchen Valade Spirit Award; $500 Readers' Choice Awards. There are three areas of focus this year: Photography, Digital Art and a sneaker art category. Deadline: April 7, 2023.

Detroit Artists Market is seeking artists to exhibit for their "Call for the Wall" solo exhibition on the featured artist wall. DAM is looking for early-career artists who have limited experience exhibiting artwork. Artists must be unrepresented by any gallery or organization. We encourage artists to include a variety of price points and all chosen work for display must be priced below $500, The Call for the Wall is open to all media and artists 18 years and over. Deadline: March 18, 2023.

Discover Wauwatosa seeks artists for "ART 64," a two-day interactive live painting bracket-style tournament, held June 9 and 10, 2023, at The Village of Wauwatosa in Wisconsin. Receive minimum $100 for participation and up to $20,000 for the grand prize for winner. Required for application: 3-5 examples of previous work for consideration. No fee. Deadline: March 10, 2023.

The Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas, seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, "Nesting." Selected artists will be featured in the gallery and online. Photographs using domestic subject matter, images of people and places we all call home are what make up the images in this exhibition, which will encompass a range of approaches to the concept homemaking. MWCP will print the images at no cost to the artists and frame them using the gallery rental frames. Deadline: March 15, 2023. 

The Colored Pencil Society of America seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, July 2-30, 2023, at The Summit Hotel Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio. Artwork must be 100 percent colored pencil on a manufacturer-prepared surface. Must be solely the original concept, design, and execution of the submitting artist, and must have been created in 2020 or later. Deadline: April 3, 2023.
