TSAHC Introduces An Easier Way to Search
Affordable Communities of Texas Properties

We've updated the ACT web page and are now listing completed for-sale homes, properties where we're looking for local partner support, and unused vacant land that has been cleared and ready for public sale. 

Listings  can be sorted by property type (land or home) and by county. We encourage you to take a look at the new web page to search for partnership opportunities with TSAHC. You can also link the page to your own organization's web page to help market completed for-sale homes.  
HUD Proposes New Floodplain Requirements
HUD is proposing new floodplain requirements for all HUD-supported properties. This includes all Texas NSP land banking home sites, homes seeking HUD assistance and homes with Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage insurance.

Under the proposed rule, HUD would require higher vertical elevation standards for these properties.  "Non-critical" properties would have to be elevated two feet above the site's base flood plain elevation. "Critical" properties (such as hospitals, nursing homes, and police/fire facilities) would have to be elevated three feet above the base flood elevation or the 500-year floodplain, whichever is greater.
