enliveo (VSC) Weekly Updates
November 3rd, 2023 | Issue No. 259
Good morning everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am here to give you the weekly update on the Holocaust Survivor Program's enliveo (VSC).

Today at 1pm, we will have our Zoom into Shabbat program with Chaplain Betsy and Rabbi Sally. Please join us for songs, stories, and blessings as we welcome in the Shabbat as a community. You will have the opportunity to share your favorite Shabbat memories and melodies with the group. This is an opportunity to connect together as a sacred community.

Today at 2pm, we will have a brand new program with Adam! In this class you will learn some of the basics the internet has to offer. From watching entertainment on YouTube, to reading articles about your favorite pastimes, this class is designed to show you the art of what is possible on the internet in 2023. We will also make sure to answer your questions along the way and develop the topics of our classes based on the discussions we have together.

Please join Karen and Alex at 4pm today as we celebrate the Tony Award-winning musical of 1959, Redhead. We'll learn some history, listen to songs and watch videos of stage performances, including from the original 1958 production.

On Monday, November 6th at 5pm, we will have our Jewish-themed Music and Torah Conversation program with Rabbi Sally.

On Monday, November 6th at 7pm, we will have the NY Art Scene program with Jess. Join Jess and your VSC friends as you explore the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

On Tuesday, November 7th at 11am, we will have our Classical Music Stars program. Join Fran and your VSC friends as you begin to watch the documentary, Legendary Soprano: Dame Joan Sutherland.

On Wednesday, November 8th at 2pm, we will have our Critically Acclaimed TV and Cinema program with Jess. Join Jess and your VSC friends as you continue to watch Only Murders in the Building.

As we are all aware, Israel is in a very difficult situation which is changing daily. This Wednesday at 4:30pm, Hanan Simhon will be facilitating a virtual class for survivors regarding the ongoing situation in Israel. This class will recur for the next several weeks, as the situation unfolds. The focus of the group will be to provide you with updates and information, as well as to offer you a safe space for support.

On Thursday, November 9th at 4pm, we will have a brand new program called Travel Through Film, A Look at Old Hollywood Dancing with Beth.

Thank you so much for being a part of this incredible program and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Best Wishes,

Jess Gianna
