Al-Ahli Anglican Hospital in Gaza City Reopens - Closed due to IDF bombing and weapon fire in the immediate vicinity on July 7, injured and sick patients were put in great jeopardy as they fled. Al-Ahli was able to reopen four days later, with two surgeons who managed to do eight surgeries the following day. Al-Ahli is one of few remaining functioning (barely) medical facilities in all of Gaza as malnutrition, famine, communicable diseases, unsafe living conditions, an astounding number of war-related injuries and deaths, and the spread of military operations and displacement of civilians increase daily. Archbishop Hosam Naoum pleas for an end to the targeting of civilians and all vulnerable people and demands that all parties agree to an immediate ceasefire.
