GREETINGS FROM SPARTAN LANE

The days are flying by, and summer is just around the corner. Our upperclassmen are in AP test mode and are off to a productive start. Meanwhile our K3 students are excited to take the stage this week to perform The Three Piggy Opera, the final class play for our Pre- and Lower Schoolers this year.

Athens Academy is consistently the highest ranked private school outside of metro Atlanta, and there are many people who help make that happen. A huge thank you to all of our volunteers and donors for the amazing work you do to support our students and faculty. Russell Bennett, Carl Nichols and Bill Trigleth have been passionate trustees for Athens Academy and given countless hours to our school over the last many years. Please join me in thanking them for the many contributions as they step down this year. I also would like to thank Ramsey Bridges for leading our PSO and its many offerings this past year. We are fortunate to have so many giving and engaged people in our Academy family. At this time, I would also like to thank Chase Lawrence and Jessica Whitley for accepting a five-year term with the Board of Trustees beginning August 1. They are joining an already strong cohort of people who care deeply about our mission and the work being done to support our people and program. Also, Anne Fair Woodward and Caroline Kinney will be leading our PSO efforts next school year. Read more.

FROM THE DIVISIONS

As the year comes to a close, I invite you to share a sentence or two about a special moment your student experienced this school year.

With the end of the school year and the finish line in sight, it's time to think about summer. So what are some good summer learning activities?

Thank you, as always, for your trust in us to deliver the best educational and personal experience for your child.

I know that the end of the year can be overwhelming for students, teachers, and parents, too! Having reminders for how to get through it smartly and quickly can help.
