What are the best ways to get pet owners up to speed on diagnosis as well as preventive care for their pets?

We hear from a lot of practices, that keeping pet owners informed on a recent diagnosis, and what it means for their pet can be a difficult task. There also never seems to be enough time to be proactive, and educate pet owners on different wellness programs that should take place at specific Lifestages for their pet.

We’ll focus on this topic during our December ePetHealth webinar! We’ll talk about how the products you use every day can be harnessed to get important information such as this out to your customers. Tools such as Video Capture as well as educational texts and emails targeted around a pet’s Lifestage are just a few of the things we’ll focus on. Increasing the knowledge of pet owners leads to increased compliance for patient healthcare, which is the most important thing!

Need a Refresher on ePetHealth for Your Staff?

Even though we KNOW it’s important, one thing it seems we can never find enough time for is staff training. We either don’t have the time to create the training agenda, or we don’t make time available for staff to complete self-study items.

ePetHealth has made things a little easier for you by having a section completely devoted to training, including some short videos for key areas of the product!

To access the training section, go to the Practice Tools menu, and select Training . The Features and Functionality section contains links to training articles on a variety of subjects—there’s even a link to the ePetHealth User Guide.  
If you have staff that are more “visual” learners, then you’ll want to check out the General Videos section on the Training page.  
Depending on the topic, the videos range in length from 2 ½ to 6 minutes. Most of us can find 15 – 20 minutes a week to take advantage of these videos to sharpen our product skills. 

Another training opportunity, is to access the links to our previously conducted monthly-webinar topics. These are accessed through the ePet Resources link under the Practice Tools menu.
