National Therapy Animal Day!
All church members & friends are invited to attend a luncheon and information session presented by ‘Mid South Therapy Dogs and Friends’ at 12:00pm in the Café Area in the Smith Covenant Center.
Therapy animals have played such an important role in maintaining connections and supporting well-being in our community! Please join us to learn more about the differences between Service Animals, Therapy Animals, and Emotional Support Animals. Come meet a familiar four-legged friend of CUMC, Isobel, and her handler Delynn, whom visit with our guests and volunteers when we host Room In The Inn. You will also have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of how therapy animals are utilized in various settings, and with such diverse populations. Are you interested in becoming a volunteer? Do you feel you could benefit from services, or perhaps a family member or friend? Plan on attending for all of this information and more! Please RSVP by April 26th (so we know how much food to provide) by signing up through the link below, or you may contact hcrone@covenantumc.org. Thank you!
