Trash

The Borough’s contract for Trash/Refuse Collection with Advanced Disposal is up the end of June.  We are out for bids for a new 3-year contract, and Advanced Disposal is expected to bid. We typically have 3-4 bidders.

In conjunction with the new contract, Council is also considering making it mandatory for all residences to subscribe to the service for all periods that the residence is occupied.  A revision to Ordinance 62 has been proposed and advertised to accommodate this policy change, and a public hearing will be held at 5:30 p.m. on May 10th to allow for public comment and discussion.
