The Drive—The 911’s four-cylinder little brother rarely gets much love, but this one’s been tuned to 190 hp.
|
Jalopnik—One of one currently in the U.S. and one of 70 worldwide, this is a seriously special car.
Hagerty—Road-registering Porsches that aren’t really supposed be on the road at all is a Bruce Canepa speciality. The California native has fitted license plates to 911 race cars and was instrumental in the Show or Display bill, which granted special exemptions for road cars without U.S. homologation. All legal, all above aboard, all leaving a trail of “what the … ?” in their wake when they roar past on a U.S. highway.

|
CarBuzz—The two cars blitzed the Buddh International Circuit.
Hagerty—One of the dynamics in the Hack Mechanic household is that the number of guitars rivals the number of cars. Fortunately, the guitars are considerably less greasy and a lot smaller, all fitting in one room. While I haven’t bought any new cars recently, I have bought two more guitars. I didn’t need either, but sometimes, like with cars, circumstances present themselves—an instrument speaks to you, you bond with it, and you act. (Which is, of course, a heartfelt and carefully-crafted description of an utter lack of self-control.)

Jalopnik—The ad may be light on details, but the car’s Gemballa bodywork speaks volumes.
