Sharing Christ, Changing Lives!
We're Still Worshipping This Sunday!
Hello Zion Family & Friends
In light of the recent news from our Governor, we are pleased to announce that we are  STILL worshipping THIS SUNDAY!

Based on the recent order put in place by the Governor of California, we will not be meeting inside our sanctuary, but rather we will be taking our worship outside! Our team is busy preparing some awesome, shaded spaces for you to worship with your family at Zion. We plan to set up outside in the grass area and under the beautiful shaded trees. Zion will be placing a few E-Z ups in the grass to provide areas of shade, however, please feel free to bring an umbrella or pop up to provide your own shade.  Plan to bring your favorite lawn chair, wear sunscreen & your face mask and be ready to enjoy this spirit-filled service in the fresh outdoors.

As always, we will have amazing worship, a timely message from Pastor Stoterau, and opportunity for you to connect with your Zion family. Although we will not partake in the Holy Sacrament of Communion, regularly scheduled for the 3rd Sunday of the month, the Elders are working to insure communion is available in the future on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.

As we are in the heat of summer, we are also adjusting our service times slightly to allow everyone to enjoy this outdoor service. So we will be having a  single service  at 10:00am that has been condensed to approximately 45 minutes to one hour.

We are continuing to take reservations (RSVP) for the time being so that we can ensure the health and safety of all who are attending. Let us know you're coming by registering yourself and your family.  Please note, that an RSVP is required by all people including children.

We want to continue to worship God despite everything that is going on in our world today. And hope and pray that you'll join us for our special outdoor service!

Please remember to pray for…
  • Verdonna Bemmer, who is experiencing severe pain in her body that has caused her to become bed ridden. We ask God for direction for the doctor to resolve what is causing this pain and comfort and healing for Verdonna, as well as, her daughter who is caring for her during this most difficult time.
  • Continued prayers for Nikki McGannon, niece of Sharon Beaudoin, who is still undergoing chemo therapy for cancer. Most recent tests have shown her form of treatment to be ineffective. Prayers for God’s wisdom and discernment to be upon Nikki’s medical team as they search for new & better trials of treatment.
  • Update from Zion School Parent, Melissa Ferguson, she “is 2/3 done with her chemo treatments with 4 more big treatments ahead (two in July and August). Then hopefully healed and done. God gets all the glory.” Please continue to pray for pain relief, a complete healing and rest for her body and soul. We keep our HOPE in Christ! This is Melissa's Victory Verse: Jeremiah 29:11
  • Calvin Jin, friend of Glenda Flora, as he deals with a serious medical diagnosis, for the guidance and talent of his doctors and the loving support and faith of his family.
  • All our church and school families. We pray for our families whose members are on the front lines working in health care, law enforcement, public service, food industries / services, new media, financial institutions, construction, safety, sanitation and many more. We pray for our families who are worried about finances, and for our families who have health concerns.
  • Infection rates to slow and cease; that those who have been infected will heal quickly; that healthcare staff and first responders will be sustained as they carry this very heavy burden; that our churches, schools and preschools would be sustained and reliant on our loving God and His guidance; for courage and peace for our pastors, lay leaders, church and school administrators, faculties, and all church and school workers who are making difficult decisions, creating innovative solutions for continuing to reach people for the sake of the Gospel; for our federal, state and local leaders to seek God's will as they make important decisions and take actions against this disease; for God to bring many, many people to faith through this situation, and that His Church would be more effective than ever in sharing the Gospel with the lost and loving our neighbors.
How to Add Prayers:
We would be honored to pray for your loved ones and include
them in the weekly bulletin and also online in the Zion Buzz.

Zion is Offering Communion @ Home Kits
Have You Missed Communion?
Zion Elders want to extend the opportunity to share in Holy Communion during social distancing.

We are hoping to do all we can by offering this resource for those that are unable to make it to church or just not ready to return to the church for physical worship and communion. We want you to remain safe and secure in every decision you make.

In doing so, we would like to offer you with the opportunity for a home delivery kit of the Communion Elements, followed up by a call from a Zion Elder who will administer communion with you over the phone.
Once you're request form has been submitted you will receive a confirmation email from Google Forms. Zion will then contact you to set up a time to drive over and deliver the kit to your home.

COVID-19 UPDATE FOR CALIFORNIA INDOOR WORSHIP SUSPENDED AGAIN
On June 13, we were told by California Governor Newsom that churches in 31 California Counties (this includes all California Pacific Southwest District counties other than Mono and Inyo) need to stop INDOOR in-person worship immediately. Churches that are currently doing OUTDOOR worship can continue to do so. Please note that the Governor did not just single out houses of worship in this order. As of this writing we have not heard if Arizona and Nevada will follow suit.   Read President Gibson's Full Comments

LWML
Since we are unable to have our LWML meetings for awhile, we’d like to remind our ladies about their Mite boxes. We need to keep filling them so we can help pay off our district and national Mite projects. Please empty your boxes into the Big Mite Box located in the Narthex or contact Debbie Violette, LWML President.
