Hi AARCS!

It's me, Zeke, the three-legged wonder dog, reaching out with an update and a big, slobbery thank you!

When I first came into the shelter, I had an ouchie on my front paw where a few of my toes were missing. ❤️‍🩹 It hurt a lot, and I wasn't using my leg at all. 😢 The nice people here at AARCS decided that the best way to help me was to amputate my leg. It was a tough decision, but it meant I wouldn't be in pain anymore!

After the surgery, I was still hurting – I mean, removing a leg is a pretty big deal! 🏥 The wonderful veterinary team here made sure I had plenty of pain medications and even started laser therapy to help me heal. I'm happy to report that I'm feeling so much better now! 💚 My stitches are almost ready to come out, and I've been having a blast playing with my favourite toy in my run at the shelter

Next on my medical list is a dental surgery to get my chompers in tip-top shape. 🦷 But before that, I could really use a quiet and loving foster home. The shelter is great, but it can be pretty noisy, and I could use some peace and quiet to help me recover fully. If you or someone you know could foster me, I'd be the happiest dog in the world! ⭐

Thank you so much for all your support. Without you, I wouldn't be feeling this good or looking forward to a brighter future.

–xo, Zeke 🐶
