For our educational programs, we had a book club with Bobbi Perez and Kitty which is a Zoom program in collaboration with the Special Needs Support Center. We also had art classes with Sarah Roberts and Finnie Trimpi and craft classes with Kitty. Additionally, we sang with Kerry every Wednesday and had music history classes with Bob Horan, music movement with Kathleen Dolan and Mark Van Gulden, and singing with Cooie. We also had music and improv sessions with Emerson. A new fun program for our group was drama club with Aidan. We worked on our garden with Doug each week and had weekly earth science classes with Linda Galvao, including visiting the Lady Slippers at the Eshqua Bog. We played games with Doug and Sarah.

In June, we were active and fit. We cycled the Rail Trail with Vermont Adaptive, had bi-weekly yoga classes with Jamie, Annie, and Amanda, and enjoyed yoga dance with Liz Barker. Golfing and playing pickle ball at Woodstock Country Club, bowling at Maple Lanes in Claremont, and taking walks around town were regular activities. We also had bi-monthly fitness classes with Bari, ensuring a well-rounded fitness routine for our community.

Our community was vibrant and adventurous in June. We were out and about each week, traveling to adaptive sports events, visiting the Eshqua Bog in Hartland, touring the Joseph Smith Memorial, and taking a trip to Fort Ticonderoga for sightseeing and a boat ride. We also visited Billings Farm to see the baby animals and make ice cream, all was fun and social and educational.

The highlight of our month was the cast party on June 7th at Pentangle, followed by a pizza lunch at Zack’s Place.
