Meet the People of NLP

Janus Chidester is an AmeriCorps member serving through the City of Richmond's Action for Community Enhancement Services.

While working with the Fredericksburg All Ages (FAA) organization, he earned his NLP Certificate in Nonprofit Management in 2015, thanks to a grant that FAA received from the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region.

Janus says, "at the time, a lot of what I was working on was leading our youth advisory council. My first [NLP] class, Leadership and Emotional Intelligence, taught me about different kinds of leadership and how these styles interact with each other, which gave me such incredible insight into the dynamics of the group. And it definitely helped me moving forward, as I learned how to manage and lead a group of teenagers who were all trying to accomplish a common goal with differences of perspective and different ways of leading each other."
