Hi Friends!

Last week I had to privilege of spending a week in Asheville, North Carolina with a group of our high schoolers during their mission trip. We truly had an incredible week serving, growing, learning, and exploring together! We served at a variety of sites including Black Mountain Home for Children where we learned about the foster care system and current challenges they are facing, specifically in Western Carolina. We went to Christmount Camp, which provides an adapted camp that allows those with varying needs to experience camp. And we spent time at Haywood Street Congregation, arguably our favorite site, which serves the houseless population in Asheville. Their motto is "Holy Chaos" and we were able to see how God moves through ALL people as we spent time in relationship with our friends living outside.

We learned SO much, including the difference between charity and mutual aid, and what we can do at All Saints' to be a welcoming community to everyone. Check-out all of our pictures on the Y'All Saints Intagram page (@yall.saints.atl)

I hope all of our high schoolers will sign-up for our upcoming High School Fall Retreat (registration is below) and that these lessons and relationships will continue to grow!

Peace,

Hope

PARENT CORNER

Formation Teachers Needed

for the 2023-2024 Year!

The statistic we always hear is that is takes at least 5 meaningful relationships with adults at church for youth to want to stay involved in church beyond high school. Are you ready to become one of those adults in the life of our youth?

We are looking for formation teachers, specifically in our high school room, for the 2023-2024 year! Beginning in September, you would be committing to spending Sunday mornings teaching our youth (curriculum is provided) and building meaningful relationships with them throughout the formation year.

If you are interested, please reach out to Hope and we can chat more!

Curious about where we will be staying? It is called Laguna Beach Christian Retreat and it is located right on the water. It is where we stayed last year for our middle school retreat and we loved it so much, we are heading back!

ACOLYTE CORNER

Summer Acolytes and Readers

Sign-Up Now!

It's officially time to sign-up for summer acolyte and reader slots! Like last summer, our acolyte schedule will be "schedule yourself" style so you can choose Sundays when you are in town. This puts the ownership on you, so please try and schedule yourself at least 2-3 times (but more if you can!) This ensures that our Sunday service runs smoothly and always has acolytes present. Reminder—we only have one service on Sunday mornings in the summer so your commitment would be during the 10am service.

Please look over your summer calendar and sign-up below to acolyte and read when you are available!
