This Sunday is Youth Sunday!

We're so excited to celebrate our amazing youth and graduates this Sunday! We have youth signed up to be singers, readers, ushers, a preacher, acolytes musicians, and more and we can't wait to see all of you shine.

Here are a few things for you to know:

  • If you are singing Lord of the Dance, you are singing in the choir!

Choir rehearsal begins on Sunday morning at 9 am, so be sure to be there bright and early to snag the spot you want in the choir's pews. Singers will process in with the choir (don't worry about vesting, just wear your regular church clothes), will hang out in the chancel for the service, and will process out with the choir at the end.

If you would like to sing in the choir and don't already have an assigned job you can find the arrangement for Lord of the Dance here: Lord of the Dance (SATB ) by Sydney Carter/a | J.W. Pepper Sheet Music ( Scroll down to 'two part mixed' and click on the speaker icon. If you would like sheet music, email Sheet music will also be available on Sunday morning.

  • If you asked to be an usher (bulletins, passing plates for offertory, or letting people out during Communion) please arrive by 9:30 to man your positions and get a rundown of your tasks. We'll have an experienced usher there to give you your marching orders and make sure you know exactly what to do.

  • If you've signed up to be an acolyte, you've got this covered! You are incredible at what you do, and you'll be just as important a part of the service as always.

  • If you didn't sign up for anything yet and you just want to be a part of things, no problem! Just show up at 9:30 and we'll find a task for you to do.

  • Readers and Preacher, we need you there at 9:30 too. We know you're ready to rock your roles, but you are our Seniors, and we want to give the congregation extra time to tell you how proud they are of you and how wonderful you are.

  • Grads - we will have a special gift and blessing for you during the announcements. And...

  • In case you hadn't noticed, this Sunday is also the day that we leave for our mission trip with Asheville Youth Mission! So we will be commissioning and blessing our missioners during the announcements as well.

Sunday will be a busy and amazing morning, and we can't wait to see and celebrate each of you there! Email Martha with any questions you may have and get ready to have fun taking over the church on Sunday morning.
