A Special Opportunity

With the end of the school year rapidly approaching, we are looking to help make the transition between grades a little smoother. Tonight, 5/1, the high school A2 and middle school Basic groups will be walking over to Frankfurt Park (1 block from the church) for some games together. After a quick stop at 7 Eleven, we'll return to the church and split back up into our group for our content.

On 5/8, the high school A2 group is inviting all of our current 8th graders to join them for their game time, before coming back over for the rest of Basic.

What We're Teaching

Next Steps | @ Middle School Sunday Morning Gathering

Middle school students are invited to join us on Sunday mornings starting on 4/14 and finishing on 5/19 for a 6 week series called Next Steps. We’ll be taking a closer look at tangible ways that middle schoolers can grow in their relationship with Christ, their service to Christ, and their connection to the community of Christ. As always, we start by sitting together at the beginning of the 9am contemporary worship service, and then get released just before the message starts to go have our time together.

Can I Ask That? - A 6 week series designed to help us dive into some of our toughest questions @ MERGE

Ever had a question about God that you were scared to ask? Ever felt like your hard questions get squashed, silenced, or brushed aside?

First, other teenagers and adults ask these kinds of questions all the time. Second, it’s not only okay to ask hard questions, but it’s actually important—some say essential—for your faith journey. And finally, God can handle it. God isn’t anxious about your questions, struggles, or doubt. We don’t think you should be either. If you’re tired of vague, superficial, or nonexistent answers to your tough questions about God, the Bible, and Christianity, this series is for you.

Pass It On - A 4 week series from the book of Acts on evangelism | @ Basic

With social media, just about anyone can be an “influencer” with the right content, good timing, and a little bit of luck. Invent a new dance, share a funny take, catch the right moment on camera, and you could get millions of views. Some “influencers” mostly just use their platforms to get free stuff, but once in a while, you find someone who uses their platform to talk about things that actually matter. Obviously they didn’t have social media back in Jesus’ day, but in the Bible, the book of Acts is filled with stories about “influencers” who had important things to say. In this 4-week series, we’ll hear their stories, discover that our lives can pass on the good news, and learn how to pass on the good news to unexpected people, to our families, and with humility.

Life Revealed | A 9 Week Video Series from Alpha | @ A2

The aim of this series is to help youth discover and develop a relationship with Jesus. In a recent study published by One Hope, when studying Gen Z across the USA, they found that 3 in 5 teens in the U.S. say they never read religious scriptures on their own, and nearly half (47%) of Christian teens say they never read the Bible. We know scripture to be foundational to a life in relationship with Jesus, yet according to this study a majority of young people don’t see it as a way to hear from God or grow in their relationship with Him. This series is intended to journey through the narrative of Luke and Acts, provoke curiosity around the person of Jesus, and create accessible ways for youth to read and understand scripture.

Help

You've been told what to do in the case of an emergency. "Put on your own oxygen mask before assisting others." Sometimes we're drained and at a place where we need help before we can help others, including our kids. Take a minute to help you today.
