I'm so proud to share that our teen members from the Reiter Family Youth Center at the John C. Zarazoga Community Center have been exceling at running their very own Farmer's Market! In partnership with Food Forward, an organization that recovers fruits and vegetables that would have been wasted from local backyard fruit trees and public orchards, our teens manage everything from produce organization and menus to produce distribution to other members and their families.
This RFYC Teen Farmer's Market is so much more than just delivering fresh fruits and vegetables; it’s a thriving hub of youth empowerment, entrepreneurial spirit, and community connection. By managing nearly all aspects, our teens gain invaluable skills in leadership, communication, and business management. Way to go, teens!
