Worship at Slash Church

SUNDAY SCHEDULE

2024 Schedule

From Sunday - 10:00 a.m.

What's In a Name

John 10:11-18

I am the Good Shepherd

When Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd,” he is drawing on centuries of Jewish memory and scripture that depict God as a shepherd and his people as the sheep of his pasture. The imagery would have struck a deep chord with his hearers, and further confirmed Jesus’ claim that he is “The Great I Am.”

Rev. Michael Weeks

Dinners for 8 will be held on September 27, 28 and 29.

At Slash Church, we are building the Kingdom of God around our dinner tables. These are groups that meet in our homes. Singles or couples and people of different generations get to know each other. Some groups invite the children to come along and some meet to give parents a break. We follow the example of the early New Testament church and gather for fellowship around the table.

Sign up in the Sanctuary. Choose the day that works for you and/or your family and sign up to host at your home or to receive an invitation to someone else's home.

Outreach Project:

In September we will kick off Operation Christmas Child

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God's immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! Delivered by our local church partners, shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way. We will be providing boxes to children of all ages. In October the church will host a “packing party” for all to join in the fun and pack the boxes for distribution in November.

New this year you will sign up online to donate items. All items need to be returned to the church by September 29th! Follow the link or scan the code below to sign up!
