Building climate resilience.

As the world faces increasingly frequent and intense weather and climate hazards, SERVIR continues to work with partner countries and communities to co-produce and use climate information, tailored to meet on-the-ground demand for strengthened climate adaptation. This quarter we are pleased to highlight some of SERVIR’s work to build climate resilience.

Supporting youth climate actors


Youth are not only the climate leaders of tomorrow, but their perspectives and innovations are necessary to address climate issues today. Learn how talented young students from economically disadvantaged communities in El Salvador learned to use geospatial tools to address climate issues and had an inspiring visit with Salvadoran NASA astronaut Frank Rubio.

Strengthening water data for climate resilience


Climate change creates serious threats to water security, such as amplifying drought and water scarcity or increasing flood risk. To build resilience to these challenges, decision makers need detailed water data, reliable forecasts, and pathways that make information accessible and actionable.
