A wedding dress to make her day and her big day.

A woman recently arrived at the Thrift Shop looking for a wedding dress because she was getting married in three weeks. Typically we have a selection of dresses on hand because a local store donates many twice a year.

Unfortunately, we had sold out of all the dresses except one - and it was on the mannequin. She really like the style, so we pulled if off the mannequin for her to try on. And would you believe it - it was her size and fit like a glove! She was ecstatic with her find and so excited to be able to look beautiful on her wedding day.

Boots & Blooms Gala tickets on sale now

Join us at our annual celebration to support local families in need on Friday, April 5 at 6:30pm. Dust off those winter blues and spring into color! Come enjoy dazzling cocktails, a delectable dinner and a delightful time on the dance floor at the distinctive Cruiseport Gloucester. Not to mention the dramatic floral competition.

Help us earn a free ad!

Are you a Boston Globe subscriber? If so, you can help us earn a free ad in the Globe just by going to Globe.com/GRANT, entering your subscriber number and selecting Beverly Bootstraps as your favorite non-profit. It only takes a minute but it needs to be done before April 30.
 
Your support will be converted into GRANT advertising dollars. To earn free advertising space in The Boston Globe we need a minimum of $1,000 in GRANT dollars. The more dollars raised, the larger the ad — which means more exposure for Beverly Bootstraps and the important work we do.
Toiletry Drive

Boston Private Bank and Trust recently dropped off the donations from the toiletry drive they held for us. Toiletries are always in demand at the Food Pantry so thank you very much!
Community Rewards donation

Thank you to Beverly Bank who  recently made this donation to us from their Community Rewards Program which donates a percentage of every new account opened.
Support from local store

Aubuchon Hardware  recently donated almost $8000 that they raised to support Beverly Bootstraps' programs by holding in-store events and offering a corporate matching gift. Thank you!
Community Yoga
1st and 3rd Sunday of the Month, at 10am
The Healing Center, 317-319 Rantoul Street, Beverly

The Healing Center will be holding a Community Yoga class on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month from 10:00-11:00am. This is a basic hatha yoga class where beginners are welcome and encouraged. Practice meaningful, accessible asana, and support a local charity while you're at it! All proceeds will go to Beverly Bootstraps. Bring yourself, some water, and a mat. Mats will be available to borrow if needed!
Suggested Donation: $5-$10 (but any and all contributions are welcome!)
