Dear Friends,
My Venus has fallen...and she can't get up.
That's how I've felt over the last four years as I've watched the horror show of my poor 12th house Venus story (opposing Pluto, square Saturn-Mars) come to life right before my eyes. I've learned to surrender to the dark lessons of my Venus. Yes, I know. I'm constantly lecturing all of you about using astrology as a tool for self empowerment. Don't get me wrong...I stand by my words. But like you, I'm learning. And what I've learned recently (after the final hit of transiting Pluto squaring my natal Venus) is that sometimes...the only way to reach empowerment is through surrender. Eureka! I've finally cracked the code of my 12th hosue Venus in Aries. Everyone, please congratulate me. But wait...who am I kidding? There's more work to be done. After all, my Venus is still fallen (technically speaking it's in detriment but that's a whole other story). In life, we're introduced to teachers, signs, lessons and new types of chocolate exactly when our soul is ready to embrace that next level of wisdom. Imagine my surprise when, sitting in between my Secondary Progressed Moon conjunct said fallen Venus, and transiting Jupiter ready to conjunct her, I met a book that reminded me how powerful my tragic, battered Venus really is. A book that has me riveted because, in less than a week it's helped me restore the power inside of my Venus. It's reminded me that she's brave and one day, she'll have the courage to love again. If your Venus is broken...or you think it is, I can't recommend this book enough. A Love Alchemist's Notebook by Jessica Shepherd is nothing less than pure magic. Cosmic Love & Blessings, Maria |
