Correction to Early Ballot Return Instructions

Previously, Pinal County used green envelopes, and this year, in an effort to eliminate confusion between Maricopa and Pinal County ballots, it moved to a buff-colored envelope. Unfortunately, the directions did not update the change from green to buff.


To be clear, step 3 should read, “Place the WHITE affidavit envelope into the BUFF return envelope addressed to the Recorder and seal.”

Chairman of the Board Provides Details on Proposition 486 - on the Ballot on November 5, 2024

Mike Goodman, Chairman of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors, provides details about Proposition 486, which will be on the ballot on November 5, 2024.


This proposition is for the reauthorization of Pinal County's Road Maintenance and Improvement Fund. This maintenance fund is a half-cent excise tax, which pays for the repair, maintenance, and improvement of County roads. This fund is also shared with Pinal County cities and towns.

Next Citizens Academy Set for

Friday, July 19

The PCAO Citizens Academy is an immersive experience designed to give attendees an in-depth look at how charging decisions are made and the role of prosecutors in the criminal justice system.


“This is an excellent opportunity for folks to come, see what we do as prosecutors and how we navigate difficult charging decisions,” said County Attorney Kent Volkmer.


When: Friday, July 19th, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

IPAZ Project Wins 2023 APWA Arizona Chapter Project of the Year

The Arizona Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) has announced that Pinal County’s IPAZ Project Improvements have been selected as the 2023 Project of the Year in its category.


The project, officially titled “IPAZ-Hanna and Houser Roads, SR87 to Vail Road & SR87 Intersection Improvements, Pinal County,” received honors in the $5-25 Million Award Category. Continue reading
