Mazel Tov to the Cains!

Mazel tov to the Cains!

Marci and Matt Cain are proud to announce the Bet Mitzvah of their child, Echo Cain, which took place June 22 at 10:30am. Echo will be a Senior next year at Shawnee Mission South High School. Echo has decided to venture down the path of becoming a Bet Mitzvah at this later age to become more a part of the Jewish community into which they were born. Echo is a passionate young person who is also proudly part of the LGBTQ+ community. Echo loves to spend time with family and friends, play video games and be outside. Echo also loves learning and caring for the ecosystems and the animals inside of them. For Echo's Bet Mitzvah project, they volunteered to clean up some of the ecosystems in our area.

From the Klein Collection: Comic Book

One of the first comic books published in Israel was this one featuring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Pinocchio. It was printed in Tel Aviv in 1947. Because Hebrew is read from right-to-left, these comic panels are also read right-to-left.
