We are excited to share our latest Seasonal Update, highlighting the progress we've made and our ongoing initiatives. Despite the challenges of rapid growth and persistent drought, we remain committed to fostering programs and initiatives to sustain our watershed.
This year, we focus on a multi-generational approach to environmental stewardship, nurturing young leaders for future conservation. Our achievements include protecting over 500 acres in the Cypress Creek Watershed and engaging over 167,000 people through learning initiatives.
Key updates include our partnership with Trinity Edwards Springs Protection Association (TESPA) to support the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District (HTGCD) in their legal battle against Aqua Texas, a case critical for groundwater protection statewide. We also celebrate a historic interlocal agreement for watershed protection with Hays County, Wimberley, Woodcreek, and the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment.
