"Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way

they could do this is by not voting."

-Franklin D. Roosevelt

Message from Mayor Kling

The privilege of voting is a solemn act we should cherish as a nation and as American citizens. Voting is a small way to make our voices heard and to honor those who fought, and continue to fight, for the freedoms we have today.

Many have already voted through early voting or absentee ballots. The last opportunity to vote in the primary election is May 21. Please join me in exercising your right to vote - truly, your vote does matter.

We would also like to congratulate those graduating from Nampa schools! What a wonderful accomplishment. We wish you the very best in your next season of life.

-Mayor Debbie

Harward Rec Center Employees Receive Life-Saving Award from Nampa Fire

On Wednesday, March 27, Jessica Vanderpool, Eric McMullen, and J Baker responded to an emergency at the Harward Recreation Center. A patron was unconscious and went into cardiac arrest.

Jessica, Eric, and J provided care, including the use of an AED and CPR, until paramedics arrived. Through their quick response and well-trained procedures, they were able to save the patron's life. Today the Nampa Idaho Fire Department recognized the staff with a Lifesaving Award.

We are thankful for well-trained employees who are ready to respond whenever a situation arises. Congratulations on receiving this honorable award!

Nampa Exchange Club Recognitions

Yesterday the Nampa Exchange Club held the 46th Annual Young Citizens Award luncheon at Lakeview Park. Over 50 local 6th graders were honored for their excellence in citizenship, attitude, academics, character, leadership and sportsmanship.

Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling was invited to speak and congratulated the students. Certificates were given to each recipient of the "2024 Bill Montgomery Young Citizen Award" and the "Bill Winter Good Citizen Scholarship Award" of $500 from the Nampa Exchange Club was presented to seniors who continued their commitment to community service and good citizenship. One senior, Kali Hale, was able to attend the luncheon to receive her reward.

Congratulations again to all of the students for your hard work, diligence, and perseverance. Thank you to the Nampa Exchange Club for all your effort and service to our community, including your involvement with Parade America, happening this Saturday!
