Leadership Givers Unite at Run for the Roses Derby Event

The thrill of the Kentucky Derby filled the room during the United Way of Greater St. Louis Run for the Roses Derby event on May 4. All enjoyed popular traditions like the Bourbon Pull, Mint Juleps, Derby-themed appetizers, games, a 360-photo booth, and a violinist serenaded the crowd while everyone mingled and connected with fellow Leadership Givers. All cheered the race on the big screens, but the big win was for our community, raising over $100k in early pledges!

How United Way Supports Mental Health

United Way helped over 28,000 individuals experiencing mental, emotional and behavioral health challenges last year. Follow Tracy’s experience with mental illness and how a United Way-funded partner, Independence Center, helped her get through a dark period and on the road to recovery.

A Call to 2-1-1 Helps a Veteran Find Support

Follow Milano’s journey, a veteran who struggled with multiple challenges transitioning to civilian life. A call to the 2-1-1 Helpline connected him with Eagle’s Nest, a United Way-funded agency, which provided a comprehensive support system to help him rebuild his life.

United Way Board Members Put Service Into Action

Check out United Way of Greater St. Louis board members as they roll up their sleeves to assemble 200 personal hygiene kits and write heartfelt notes as part of a Service2Go project that will provide comfort and support to individuals and families.
