Bishop's Visit This Sunday

This Sunday, April 14th Bishop Jos Tharakan will visit St. Thomas to preach and lead us in worship. A special reception will follow the 9:30 a.m. service.

St. Thomas Episcopal Church Sanctuary

ESL Class

Beginning on May 2, St. Thomas will host a weekly evening English as a Second Language (ESL) class. There are a number of ESL classes in the valley, but most are during the day. This class is designed to serve those in the north valley who work during the day. The class will be facilitated by Jose Valera, an experienced leader of ESL classes and a life coach. Jose is a paraprofessional at Hemingway School in Ketchum, where he has assisted in the English Language Development department since August 2023.

The classes will be held on Thursdays from 7-8 PM in Classroom One.

In order to ensure that our facilities are properly managed, we will need volunteers to be available on site during the class to help resolve any facility issues. If you are able to assist in this project, please contact Stefanie (stefanie@stthomassv.org) in the church office to sign up.

The next NAGS (Men's No Agenda Group) meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd at 3:00 p.m. at the Sun Valley Auto Club, located at 1930 Electra Ln in Hailey.

Drinks and conversation will follow at La Cabanita at The Mint in Hailey.

Book Club

Our last meeting for the school year is May 13th at 1pm in the parish hall of St. Thomas. We will be discussing the best seller, The Women by Kristin Hannah. This book has received almost a full 5 star rating by Good Reads. Your Book Club Readers who have already read the book agreed you must be sure to have a box of tissues next to you as you read the book. A warning, the book may be hard to find. On Amazon the hardcover is available for $18.99, and you can download it for $14.99.
