concertmaster of Opera SW orchestra &

retired concertmaster of the New Mexico Philharmonic

In October of 1986, he began his long association with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra becoming an Associate Concertmaster in 1995 and the Concertmaster and soloist in 1999.

In May,2022 he retired from the position of Concertmaster of the New Mexico Philharmonic. He is still active as concert violinist and holds the position as a Concertmaster of the Opera

Southwest Orchestra.

Each summer Mr. Zimowski performs with the Grant Park Orchestra in world -renowned Grant Park Music Festival at Millennium Park in Chicago.

Krzysztof Zimowski has been awarded the Knight’s Cross Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. The medal was presented to him by Consul General of Poland at the New Mexico Philharmonic concert in Albuquerque,on Feb.28,2015. The Knight's Cross is awarded by the President of Poland to Poles who reside abroad for their distinguished contribution to international cooperation between Poland and other countries.

Legislative Session Summary

Polio Update from PDG Tom Walker

District 5520 Rotarians have given nearly $52,000 to End Polio.

Additionally, District 5520 has already given $20,000 of District Designated Funds (DDF) to PolioPlus (which The Rotary Foundation and The Gates Foundation also match) AND has approved an additional $20,000 DDF.

The Rosenblum family went back and forth on a lot of ideas and have decided that the best way to celebrate mom (Estelle Rosenblum) is at the April 9 Italian Night at the Sheraton Uptown where they are going to honor Mom, who established with Jim Hesse the Young Voices scholarship.
