First Responders and Moral Injury

Andrea "Andie" Watts, MS, MA, LPCC is the owner of Guardian Wellness (est. 2021), an agency dedicated to enhancing resiliency and mental wellness for first responders.

She has worked exclusively with first responders, including fire, police, emergency medicine, dispatch, corrections, and military, for the past 14 years in a variety of contexts, including treatment, assessment, education/training, and consultation. Her clinical perspective is shaped by a trauma-informed approach, recognizing the unique impact that chronic exposure to trauma has on an individual’s mental wellness, relationships, and resiliency. She provides personalized integrative treatment through a trauma, neuropsychological, and attachment lens, offering both individual and couples work. She is dedicated to providing quality research-based facilitation of learning and instruction to enhance students' understanding of trauma, mental health, and resiliency to enhance skillful social interactions.
