The RP Group joins in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15–10/15) in annual recognition of the achievements and contributions of Hispanic and Latine American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. We also acknowledge the experiences of our Hispanic and Latine students who are seeking to transfer to a university.
The White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics seeks to advance equity in our nation’s schools and to promote the economic opportunity that follows it. See their calendar for in-person and virtual events during Hispanic Heritage Month.

Nominations are now open for the 2025 Black Educator Excellence (BEE) Awards. The BEE Awards a collaborative effort by Black Student Success Week and the African American California Community College Trustees and Administrators (AACCCTA) Caucus, also known as “the Black Caucus.”
These awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of Black educators and professionals within the California Community College system and honor those who continuously uplift the Black community through leadership, innovation, and a deep commitment to equity.
Nominations of exceptional individuals and programs may be made in the following categories:
* Most Outstanding Program or Initiative Supporting Black Excellence
* Classified Professional of the Year
* Full-Time Faculty of the Year (Instructional and Counseling)
* Adjunct Faculty of the Year
* Administrator of the Year
* Hidden Hero Award
Detailed descriptions for each category and nomination criteria are provided in this document. To submit a nomination, please complete this form by Monday, September 30. You are encouraged to highlight the nominee’s significant achievements, their impact on the Black community, and how they exemplify the values of equity and inclusivity.
