Holiday Shopping at the Local Level
Shopping local is one of the most important ways that you can use your spending power to support your local economy. At the Orleans Winter Farmers' Market, you can be assured that you are buying products produced on Cape Cod by Cape Codders. This December, you'll find everything you need to make delicious holiday meals from fresh cranberries and apples to pastured meats and eggs. You'll also find beautiful decorations to adorn your home and special gifts for your loved ones. It's all in one place, and it's all local. Here are a few of the small businesses you'll find at the market this month.
Cranberry sauce is essential! Located in Brewster, Ralph Tupper farms one of the oldest cranberry bogs on Cape Cod. He produces fresh cranberries in four different varieties. You can find him at the market
exclusively
on December 10th & December 17th.
Wellfleet Chick Coop & Farm specializes in colorful eggs from heritage breed chickens that taste even better than they look on your counter. Farmer Victoria is also a
Massachusetts
Artisan Cheese Guild member and will offer a rotating variety of decadent cheeses, perfect for your holiday gatherings. You'll find Victoria every week in December with a wide array of items including winter greens, fresh & dried herbs, winter squash, potatoes, pumpkins and seasonal decorations.
Need motivation to venture out on a Saturday morning? Coffee to the rescue.
Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters offers a fine selection of freshly roasted and meticulously prepared coffee with special attention to environmental and social stewardship using local and organic products. Grab a cup of coffee and relax in our seating area while listening to music from local musicians.
Heather LaFortune uses her childhood hobby, macrame, and creative skills in pottery to create planters and hangers inspired by the desert plants and landscapes she encountered in her recent travels to Mexico.
She also offers painted ceramics, cacti/succulents, airplants, ceramic bowls and ceramic cups which are the perfect gifts for your friends and family. Find LaFortune Artisania each week in December.

Vendors this month
This season we're doing things a little differently. As you know, summers are busy and tiring for small businesses on Cape Cod. In order to enjoy a much needed break, some of our vendors will participate every other week while others will be there every week. We're splitting the markets each month into A weeks and B weeks so that you know who to expect each time you visit.
Tips to get the most out of each market:
- We have a mix of new and returning vendors, new vendors are noted below. Be sure to check them out!
- Some vendors will be available at a limited number of markets. These vendors are indicated with an asterisk (*). We want you to know so you don't miss them.
