Take Texas Forward

Needless to say, the COVID-19 pandemic has diverted many of our plans for 2020, pushing businesses and organizations to their limits.

In the North Houston District, we’ve seen organizations work together for the greater good. So, in the spirit of taking Texas forward, we partnered with Entercom Radio (the parent company of MIX 96.5, the Spot 95.7 and the Bull 100.3, to name a few), to share with their thousands of listeners the activities that continue in our District.

Public Safety

Local Recognition

Congratulations to Lt. Bridget Lummus for winning the Star of Courage Award!

Lt. Bridget Lummus is the dayshift patrol lieutenant at the HPD North Belt Division in the District, and this honor is presented monthly to a local first responder by the Houston Texans and Apache Corporation.

Events

The Census Bureau needs our help. Response levels from residents in the North Houston District are ranging low and participation is needed.

Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year.

So, in order to remind residents about this, on Friday, Aug. 7, a Census caravan will be driving through the streets in Greenspoint encouraging residents to fill out the census. More details
