Down Payment Resource is now LIVE and accessible on your Space Coast Association of REALTOR® Member Dashboard.

Down payment assistance (DPA) programs help homebuyers with loans or grants that reduce the amount they need to save for a down payment. This invaluable resource provides an avenue for down payment assistance, a critical factor that often poses a challenge for many homebuyers.

With Down Payment Resource, our members can connect homebuyers with the necessary down payment support they require, offering a solution to one of the most common obstacles in the home buying process. Additionally, this platform equips housing professionals with the tools and resources needed to guide homebuyers effectively through the process, making the journey to homeownership smoother and more attainable.

Where can I find Down Payment Resource?



You can easily find the Down Payment Resource program by logging into your Space Coast Association of Realtors Member Portal.

This new tool, is located within the MLS Products section of your member dashboard.

How It Works:

Since 2008, Down Payment Resource has done what no one else would do – create and maintain a centralized database of every homebuyer and down payment assistance (DPA) program in the country.

• Lenders rely on Down Payment Resource tools to find and track programs and easily match borrowers to DPA.
• MLSs integrate DPA programs into their listing data to match homebuyers and eligible properties with available programs.
• DPA Providers gain program exposure through real estate agents and lenders.

Creating More Buyers:

• Lack of a down payment is keeping potential buyers sidelined. This new program is geared to help real estate agents discover, monitor, and promote DPAs to get more buyers into homes.

Multiple Listing Services (MLSs):

• Down Payment Resource enhances your listings with a unique layer of property data that homebuyers want. Down Payment Resource will flag DPA-eligible listings with a special Down Payment Resource icon (see example icon below), helping agents and homebuyers identify where down payment help is available. As a core MLS service, our members get free access to a suite of homebuyer engagement tools.

The DPR IDX feature allows you to enable Down Payment Resource to flag eligible listings on your public website so consumers can learn more about the help available for them, then contact YOU for assistance.

DPR Pricing Tool:

Find out which homebuyer programs a property might be eligible for before it’s listed. Simply enter the address and ZIP code, as well as the proposed list price(s) and click View Programs.

Down Payment Connect Set-Up:

Down Payment Connect gives prospective homebuyers (and existing clients) even more reason to work with you.

Your own FREE customized landing page is already waiting for you so you can connect buyers to the down payment help they need.

The Homeownership Program Index

The Homeownership Program Index (HPI) measures the availability and characteristics of down payment programs in the DPR database. The programs are administered by state and local Housing Finance Agencies (HFAs), nonprofits and other housing organizations.

Q4 2023

Q4 2023 edition of the Homeownership Program Index reveals an increase in the availability and diversity of DPA programs, including an increase in programs supporting the purchase of manufactured and multi-family homes and the evolving dynamics of Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) programs.
