TIPS OF THE MONTH:

Time for planting.
You have a green thumb, it is time to plant your Spring annuals. Let us know if you need help, we will start annuals installation the week of April 22nd.

Pollen
Pollen counts in and around Atlanta follow strong seasonal patterns. The spring starts early in the southeast and in Atlanta we may see tree pollen as early as January. Tree pollen counts primarily from Oak and Birch tend to rise to peak levels by late March into mid-April and die down by late May.

Why aerating and overseeding Fescue grass?
Fescue is a cool season grass and it can be aerated and overseeded in the Spring and in the Fall. Overseeding in spring means planting new grass seed into lawn turf. This is an excellent method of closing up bare spots and enhancing turf density. By adding better quality type of grass, you can achieve a full lawn of stunningly rich deep green. Any lawn that has a worn-down, aging, dull or sparse appearance is in need of overseeding.

What about aerating of warm season grasses?
By aerating your warm season grass (Zoysia, Bermuda, Centipede), you allow the turf to develop deeper, stronger roots. This ultimately creates new growth and you should begin to notice thicker growth and spreading of your warm season lawn. Your lawn should be aerated by mid-July. No seeds are added.

YOUR LAWN MAINTENANCE THIS MONTH:

SPRING IS HERE!

It is finally Spring! This month our crews started cutting warm season grasses again, now going out of dormancy. We can also enjoy Spring blooming trees, shrubs and flowers.

We believe communication is key, so always feel free to contact us if you have special maintenance requests. We are happy to forward the message to your crew.

Reminder: During maintenance, we put your yard debris at the street for County pickup, if you do not have signed up for us to remove it. Give us a call if you need to add that service to your account, or call your Waste Pro to add it to your trash service.

PIZZA OVEN

This project was building an outdoor countertop to support a 1,200 pound wood burning pizza oven. That will hold the wood and match the existing hardscape. This countertop /fire box has a 4” concrete footer with rebar , made with Weston stone block and a 3” custom cut and chipped flagstone cap. We also sealed the flagstone to help prevent stains when cooking.

MAILBOX, PLANTS, WALL & WALKWAY

This project we built a beautiful custom field stone mailbox with a custom chipped flagstone cap and locking mailbox. We installed plants shown in the pictures. A permeable paver walkway next to a beautiful Weston stone two tone wall. We also installed LED hardscape lights built into the capping of the wall and mailbox and also led up lights to accent the home and plants.

FENCE, CLEANUP, MULCH, GRADING & SOD

This project was a combination of different trades. We did a privacy fence and clean up work for the back yard. We installed brown hardwood mulch. In the front yard we graded and installed Tiftuff Bermuda sod.

NEW CARPORT

For this project, customer had issues with neighbor's tree dropping on their vehicles. We installed LED landscape lighting to enhance the appearance and functionality of this carport we constructed.
The parking area allowed to create a custom Pergola with a roof. It is scheduled to be stained soon. We will post final pictures on our Facebook page.

LANDSCAPING

This small landscape project turned out nice. The front has a more formal look and the side and back has a more informal feel. We used different shades of green to give a nice clean look. Clients wanted landscaping fabric to be installed to help with weed control.
