Come, Meet Our Pastors
It's the kickoff of a new program year and time for the return of Pastors in the Parking Lot. Bring a chair and spend some time with Pastors Luke and Meggan this morning (9/5) at 10am. They set this time on the first Thursday of each month to meet with church friends, so stop by for a visit. (In case of threatening weather, they'll move back inside to the Gathering Area.)

Mark Your Calendars!
It's time to celebrate our 175th Jubilee by updating our Church Photo Directory. We've planned three Sunday's - September 15, 22, and 29 - for photo sessions after church in the Family Life Center. There's no charge, however you can order a copy from our photographer, Silvi, for a donation. (Silvi is a "wounded warrior" and is collecting donations to replace her service dog.) Please help us add your smiling face to update our directory after four years. Watch for more details.

Plans for This Sunday
Everything God does is wonderful! Join us this Sunday (9/8) at 9am when we'll focus on how God's plan of salvation inaugurated a new era in which we're able to participate in His reconciliation of humanity to Himself. As we read Isaiah 35:4-7 and Mark 7:24-37 (click for links), discover how wonderful God truly is! We'll also be giving Bibles to our 4K, 3rd, and 6th graders as an introduction to our new program year.
> This week our Joyful Noise group will be leading us in "Our God" and "God is On the Move" (*click titles for a video links to help you become more familiar). Service recordings will be available on our website and Facebook page about an hour after completed.

Fall Kickoff Potluck Gathering
Our Fall Kickoff Potluck will take place right after worship in the Family Life Center. Everyone's encouraged to please bring a dish or dessert to share. Also, during our gathering, we'll introduce our new Sunday School teachers for all ages. Please note that all Sunday School classes will begin the following Sunday (9/15) at 10:30am.

Youth Fall Kickoff
Our popular Youth Group will begin their new year on Sunday (9/8) from 6-7:30pm! That evening, they will enjoy a bonfire, S'mores, and games out by our fire pit. In future weeks, the group will resume meeting downstairs every Sunday evening.

Want to Share the Men's Club's Big Secret?
All men of the church (and interested women) are invited to meet on Sunday (9/15) after worship in the Family Life Center to discuss future activities of the Men's Club. Attendees will also learn how we bake fruitcakes and be privy to the biggest secret of the entire civilized world! It should only take about 15 minutes to not interfere with Sunday School!

You Can Help with a Great Project
"Rock the Block" is coming next week when our church will be the hub of activity for this special Habitat for Humanity project. Next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (9/12-14), volunteer workers will help repair more than 30 homes around De Pere, and our church will be the central hub for those workers. We need lots of church family volunteers to help support the project workers from our "home base" (including set-up days next Monday-Wednesday). If you'd like to help around the church (carry, lift, and move things), click HERE and choose your time slots(s). Thanks to everyone who's already signed up! Please consider supporting this great neighborhood project and helping "Rock the Block!"

Sharing the Love
Last evening, our latest Agape Drive-Thru Dinner attracted lots of church family, neighbors, and friends as they wrapped around our parking lot to share a meal. We really thank our amazing team of volunteers who share the love by preparing the food, packing it all together, and serving it on behalf of our church family. Our next Agape Drive-Thru is planned for October 2.

Our 175th Jubilee "History Corner"
That bell we hear ringing every Sunday morning has quite a history. It began on top of our older church in downtown De Pere back in 1887. When we moved to our current church building, our bell had to be transported by tow truck. However, there was no tower for it yet. For 25 years, it sat on display silently in several spots around the lower level. As part of a major building project in the late 1980's, we added the Koinonia Lounge and a new bell tower, plus had the bell refurbished. On October 23, 1988, our bell first rang again to begin our worship! Watch next week's newsletter for more!
