Please join us for a bird walk at this underappreciated park in NE Philly! We might see warblers, thrushes, and sparrows while spring migration is slowly ramping up.
No binoculars? No worries!
Birding backpacks with binoculars and field guides are on loan at the following local Philly libraries: Andorra, Cobbs Creek, Cecil B. Moore, Falls of Schuylkill, Frankford, Greater Olney, Logan, Richmond, South Philly, Torresdale, and Widener.
We will bring additional binoculars too!

Join us for our second FREE “Birds of a Feather” to Celebrate Trails and Earth Day!
Talented artists from our community will live paint along the Tacony Creek Park trail, part of the Circuit Trails network.
We'll provide hands-on art, nature and water activities for people of ALL ages, as well as cool giveaways thanks to our sponsors. Food Truck!
Let’s unite as a community and spread awareness of the beautiful park, trail, and creek that’s right in our own backyard.

Revival Walk (Philly Celebrates Jazz Edition)

The Revival Walk will honor the sun, wind, trees, birds, and nature. This walk will begin in the Olney neighborhood of the park, and end on the trail at our Birds of a Feather event!
Participants will also assist in removing trash along the way as an act of reciprocity to this important natural space.

On Earth Day Sunday -- April 23 -- Cheltenham EAC will host the second FREE Tookany Creek Trail Fest!
Start at the trail cleanup event at 9 am. Enjoy bird walks and activities, self-guided hikes, a Trail Feasibility Study update, environmental art, free snacks and drinks, and more.

TTF Spring BioBlitz 2023
April 22 - May 1
Starting on Saturday, April 22, volunteers can use the free iNaturalist smartphone app to document wildlife observations across our and add them to our growing TTF project page.
Participate from anywhere in the watershed on your own using the app. The BioBlitz will end on Monday, May 1 -- when we’ll see how many species we were all able to spot and identify!

Join us in Tacony Creek Park for an edible plants and BioBlitz walk!
During this walk, we’ll identify common plants, the parts that are edible, and look-alike plants that aren’t edible. Learn how the foraged plants are harvested and the ways people use and eat them.
For the Bioblitz, we will use the free iNaturalist smartphone app to document wildlife observations and add them to our growing TTF project page.
