May 2022 Monthly Update: After-School Wrap-Up and Launch of Summer Programs!

On May 12, Rainey hosted Glissando 2022 Par-Tee, our first in-person event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only did guests enjoy a fun afternoon of golf and socializing, but Rainey also raised over $50,000 to support our programs! Thank you to our sponsors and everyone who attended and made the event so special.
Congratulations to Our Graduating 8th Graders
Rainey would like to send our most sincere congratulations to our 8th Grade Graduates from our after-school programs! These students have worked tirelessly to improve their artistic abilities and have become leaders among their peers. We wish them all the best as they start high school in the fall.
Summer 2022 is right around the corner!
Rainey is thrilled to be offering three exciting programs this summer:

  • Fresh Camp, June 6 - 10: Through a partnership with Refresh Collective, Fresh Camp is a Hip Hop camp for high schoolers. Students will compose digital music and write lyrics while learning the basics of recording and mixing, all culminating in a public performance.
  • Pivot Center Creatives Camp, June 20 - 24: The many arts organizations of the Pivot Center invite the Clark-Fulton community to try on different art experiences through their first summer sampler program! Experiment with acting, crafting, designing, composing, dancing and much more during the weeklong camp program for students ages 8-13.
  • Summer Arts Camp, July 5 - August 5: Young artists will spend their days immersed in a myriad of programs with our teaching faculty guiding them, all designed to bring out their creativity and confidence. Learn more about our Summer Arts Camp here.

Registration for our Summer Arts Camp and the Pivot Center Sampler Camp are full, but Fresh Camp is open for registration!
Rainey soon to debut new Ensemble program
In Fall 2022, Rainey will launch an exciting new ensemble program! This offering will combine intensive music education, community performances, and civic engagement. It will help students develop into high-level musicians and inspiring community leaders. Participation in the Ensemble will be open to 5th - 8th grade students from throughout Greater Cleveland. Students should have at least 1 year of experience playing a musical instrument. Rehearsals will be held weekly on Saturdays from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm during the school year.
