Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. when local author Rachael Hanel talks about her book Not The Camilla We Knew. Admission is $10/adults, $5/children 5-17, Free for BECHS Members.

 

The 2022 nonfiction book “delves into the life of Camilla Hall, who was raised in rural Minnesota by religious parents and died at 29 in a 1974 shoot-out between members of the Symbionese Liberation Army, the radical group that kidnapped Patty Hearst.

FAMILY FUN OVER SPRING BREAK

 

The Blue Earth County Historical Society invites families to explore the History Center over Spring Break. Admission is $10/adults, $8/seniors 65+, $5/children 5-17, Free for BECHS Members.

 

Looking for things to do with your kids during school breaks? Visit the History Center for all ages family fun! Explore the 1890s Front Street Diorama and explore toys from different generations in the new TOYS! exhibit. Then, check out hands-on history fun in the barn and cabin plus try a History Center wide I-Spy for fun and prizes. There is something for everyone at the History Center! Special Kid’s Spring Crafts and Activities on Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29!

🌲🌻🌳 You are invited to the Arbor Day Event 🌲🌻🌳

The City of Lake Crystal will be hosting a 2024 Arbor Day Celebration at Marston Park in downtown Lake Crystal on Friday, April 26th. Arrive with friends and family to attend a tree planting and Mayoral Proclamation of Arbor Day in Lake Crystal. There will be a number of activities including tree sapling giveaways, LCWM Ag Department plant sales, cookies, food truck, children games/crafts, animals, and more!

Lake Crystal Public Library crafts and scavenger hunt will begin at 2:30 PM. Additional booths and events will begin at 3:30 PM
