Collaboration with Gentle Giant Studios

The Lumia X1 produces parts with superior surface quality and fine feature details, while demonstrating impressive process stability through the ability to produce parts the entire Z-height of 19.6in.

Through a dynamic collaboration with Gentle Giant Studios, we brought this Avatar figurine to life using our Hybrid PhotoSynthesis technology and the talented artists at Gentle Giant. This is the best demonstration of the accuracy and resolution of the Lumia X1 being very consistent across the entire Z-height of the printer. A testament of its design, robustness, and reliability.

Visit us at Rapid, along with the Hollywood Showcase (booth 1873), to see the before and after Avatar on display.

Collaboration with Materialise

Through a collaboration with Materialise, we printed beautifully textured housings by joining the Lumia X1’s Hybrid PhotoSynthesis technology and Materialise 3-matic textures module. This brought both freedom of design and customized surface textures.

Axtra Solutions™ - Molds

Axtra Solutions™ provides fully optimized, turnkey 3D printing solutions. Our customers receive complete print profiles fine-tuned for maximum performance and reliability, supported by Axtra3D’s Applications team.

Mold inserts have been one of our most successful solutions to date. Several of our customers are taking full advantage of this application by utilizing the Lumia X1's ability to put the 'Rapid' back in Rapid Tooling. This has enabled one day Concept Injection Molding, where users can go from design to injected parts within a single business day.

Our users have successfully injected 300 to 3,000 parts per mold set in polycarbonate, polypropylene, ABS, TPE and TPU.
