Hello Sweet Home community!

Summer is finally here, and with it comes our beloved town's bustling and exciting busy season. We have a jam-packed schedule of events and activities for June, so mark your calendars and get ready for some fun-filled days!

To kick off the month, we have the Volunteer Faire happening this Saturday, June 3rd, from 10am to 2pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals and families to explore various volunteering options and connect with local organizations. Whether you're passionate about the environment, education, or community service, there's something for everyone. So let's come together to make a positive impact on our community!

Next up, we have Movies in the Park on June 16th. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and join us for a cozy evening under the stars. It's a perfect chance to relax and enjoy the family-friendly movie, "Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile," with your loved ones. On June 17th, get ready for a day full of treasure hunting during the Community Yard Sale and safety awareness at the Jim Bean Safety Fair.

Calling all car enthusiasts! Join us at the Sweet Home Sweet Ride Car Show on June 24th and indulge in a stunning display of classic cars, hot rods, and custom vehicles. It's an event that will make any car lover's heart race.

But the excitement doesn't stop there! We are thrilled to announce that Radiator Supply House's Icebox Cookoff will take place on June 30th and July 1st. Prepare your taste buds for a culinary extravaganza as barbeque teams from around the world compete for the title. So get ready to sample mouthwatering creations!

And speaking of celebrations, mark your calendars for Sweet Home's own celebration: Sportsman's Holiday! From July 6th to July 9th, our town will come alive with thrilling events and festivities. It all begins with the Sportsman's Holiday Princess Court coronation on July 6th at 7pm, where we will crown the ambassadors of this exciting celebration.

On July 7th, rev up your engines for the ever-popular Cut the Gut car cruise. If you're not the cruising type, pull up a chair along Main Street to watch a parade of cool cars take over the streets, showcasing their style and grace. It's a sight that never fails to captivate young and old car enthusiasts alike.

On July 8th, the town will be abuzz with excitement as we kick off the day with a lively parade. Following the parade, head over to the craft fair to discover unique treasures and handmade goods. Don't forget to catch the Chips-n-Splinters Talent show, where local talents will showcase their skills. And of course, the Logger Olympics will keep you entertained with thrilling competitions that highlight the strength and skill of our local loggers. Finally, wrap up the day with a breathtaking fireworks show that will illuminate the night sky in downtown Sweet Home.

These are just a few of the incredible events taking place in Sweet Home this June and beyond. Watch for more details and updates in our future newsletters and on our website. We can't wait to see you all there, enjoying the vibrant spirit of our community.
