Frogfoot Farm Receives Donation

Casella Organics and Read Custom Soils recently donated 300 yards of leaf compost to the Frogfoot Farm - Neighbors Feeding Neighbors. The compost plays an important role in improving the soils of the start-up farm that will ultimately donate fresh produce to the food insecurity system.

Our friends from the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce will kick off their summer concert series tonight, Thursday, July 11!


Grab a blanket and plan to enjoy the music on the shores of the Cape Cod Canal every Thursday in July and August.


Some highlights from the summer schedule include Band of Brothers (Classic Rock), Bad Company cover band Rock Steady, and the Top 40 Fey Band. The complete schedule is below.

Hope Takes Flight is Southcoast Health VNA’s signature fundraising event supporting additional care hours for hospice patients and their families who are struggling with the added burdens of care.

Tickets are available now for the evening which include the beautiful live butterfly release, hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, premium raffles and complimentary champagne.

Carver Night Out

Carver Night Out is an event designed to build partnerships, strengthen relationships between residents and law enforcement, and raise crime prevention awareness throughout Carver.


The free evening will kick off with a public safety procession. The procession will leave the Police Station and travel south on Main Street and east on South Meadow Road ending at Carver High School.


Explore public safety apparatus, such as an ambulance, fire engine, and police cruisers. Watch live law enforcement K-9 demonstrations, participate in fire safety program and meet the public safety personnel. Kids can enjoy a bounce house, rock wall and other fun activities. Refreshments will be available plus entertainment by DJ Mike Shaw.

WPD Tournament to benefit

Cops for Kids with Cancer

The Wareham Police Association will be holding the 6th annual golf tournament to benefit Cops for Kids with Cancer foundation.


Cops for Kids with Cancer is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization focused on raising funds to provide assistance to families of children fighting cancer, to improve their quality of life. They have helped over 762 families throughout New England.


Over the last six years, WPA has donated $27,000 to the organization.


Registration is now open for this year's event which will take place at Southers Marsh Golf Club on September 8. Follow the link below to register or join us in sponsoring the event.
