The City of Twentynine Palms is thrilled to announce our annual 4th of July Celebration! Join us on Thursday, July 4 from 6PM to 9PM at Knott’s Sky Park for an unforgettable evening of family fun and festivities.


This year’s celebration, presented by Rocky’s Pizza, promises to be a highlight of the summer. Attendees can look forward to an array of activities that cater to all ages. Enjoy mouth-watering food, exciting games, face painting by Reach Out Morongo Basin, exhilarating waterslides, and an inflatable obstacle course that guarantees fun for everyone.

As the evening progresses, prepare to be dazzled by the grand finale—a spectacular fireworks show from Tortoise Rock Casino. Gather with friends and family for the ultimate viewing party as the night sky is lit up in celebration of Independence Day.


To add to the festive atmosphere, Z107.7FM will be broadcasting live, playing all your favorite tunes throughout the evening, ensuring a lively and entertaining environment.

As the temperatures rise and the days grow longer, there's no better way to beat the heat than by taking a refreshing dip in our sparkling waters. Whether you're looking to perfect your backstroke during lap swim, lounge poolside with a good book, or simply enjoy quality time with friends and family, our pool has something for everyone.

SWIM LESSONS


The City of Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce the return of swim lessons at the Luckie Park Pool. This year, the program has been expanded to better accommodate the community’s needs. Whether your child is a beginner or looking to refine their techniques, our certified instructors are dedicated to providing a supportive and educational experience for all swimmers.


Each session runs for two weeks, Monday through Thursday. Lessons are 30 minutes each, with specific times assigned based on skill levels and age groups. This year, classes will be offered in the morning and evening to meet the high demand. The full schedule and registrations are exclusively online and can be completed at 29palms.org.

2024 Summer Sport Camps

Soccer • Volleyball


Get ready to dive, spike, tackle, and score at the upcoming sports camps hosted by Park and Rec this summer. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or a seasoned player aiming for improvement, join us for a summer filled with sports, camaraderie, and fun!

Soccer Camp


For soccer lovers the camp will be held at Knott Sky Park from July 22-26 and is open to children ages 3-14. The registration fee varies.


They will have the opportunity to sharpen their dribbling, passing, and shooting skills through a series of dynamic drills and mini games. Coaches will emphasize teamwork, positioning, and tactical awareness to help players elevate their game to the next level.

Volleyball Camp


Volleyball camp will be held at the TPHS gym from August 5-9 and is open to children from grade 4-8. The registration fee is $60.


You can expect intensive training sessions focusing on fundamental skills like serving, setting, and blocking, led by experienced coaches passionate about the game. The camp promises to be a thrilling and rewarding experience for athletes of all skill levels.

SUMMER MOVIE SERIES

July 11 8:00p.m.


Prepare for an enchanting summer as the Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department proudly presents the return of the Summer Movie Series, now hosted indoors at the Twentynine Palms Community Center.


This beloved event promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for families and friends in Twentynine Palms and beyond. The Summer Movie Series, a highlight of the city’s summer calendar, is scheduled to kick off on June 13 at 8:00p.m.


  • July 11 Strange World


All screenings will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m., providing attendees with the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy a night at the movies in the comfort of the Twentynine Palms Community Center (6547 Freedom Way, Twentynine Palms). Admission to the Summer Movie Series is free and open to the public, ensuring that families can come together for an evening of entertainment.

Explore the Exciting Lineup of Events Supported by Visit 29 Palms’ Sponsorship and Event Grant Program


In January 2024, Visit 29 Palms, the City of Twentynine Palms’ Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) launched a new Sponsorship and Event Grant Program, with the goal of driving community engagement, attracting overnight visitors, and supporting the city’s five key destination pillars.


After two rounds of open calls for proposals, the TBID Advisory Board is thrilled to have awarded funding support for 28 events and programming through the March – December period. This includes everything from music festivals, film festivals, half marathons, rock climbing events and bouldering competitions, art festivals and studio tours, wellness weekends, comedy nights, and more!

Public Records Requests Are Going Green


The City of Twentynine Palms has partnered with Just FOIA to streamline our Public Records Request process. In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, we will no longer be accepting paper request forms.


To submit a new request simply visit 29palms.org and follow the steps below:

 

  1. Hover over "Government" in the dropdown menu.
  2. Under "City Clerk" select "Forms".
  3. Click on the "Request for Public Records", here you will be directed to the Public Records Request portal.

 

The new Public Records Request portal allows you to check the status of a submitted request by clining the "Track Status" link and entering the "Request Number" sent to you in a confirmation email. To search the record request archive, please click on the "Search Archive" link and enter keywords that could be associated with your search.
