Volunteer Spotlight
This month, we are shining the spotlight on one of our brightest Day "stars", Ms. Marian Nadon!
Marian moved to St. Petersburg in 1966, and lived on a boat with her husband on the St. Pete Marina.
The closest Catholic church at the time happened to be St. Mary’s. Here she got to know the congregation and church leaders very well. After working at the Free Clinic for over ten years and working at their thrift store, Marian began volunteering at Daystar Life Center, where she has been an avid supporter for over 30 years.
Marian retired in 1992, after having raised five children, with the thought that, “now is my time to do volunteer work”. She enjoys “working with people who are working for other people”, giving her a sense of feeling valued and is making a substantial difference in her community.
She is very appreciated at Daystar Life Center by the staff and volunteer team as she is one of the wonderful volunteers that keep our client clothing closet well organized, running smoothly, and effectively at all times.
We are so grateful to Marian for her selflessness, dedication, and long-time support of our mission. You rock, Ms. Marian!
