Captain's Corner
Written by Captain Kevin Deerman
With our tournament season coming up in a couple of weeks, I have been thinking about how and where captains can easily obtain necessary fishing information in this day and age compared to days passed.
Years ago we relied upon word of mouth reports from other captains, getting in a plane and flying out into the gulf or by actually doing some pre fishing. Nowadays you can open up your laptop, tablet or even your phone and have instant access to weather, sea temperatures, water clarity, etc. or get on social media and check out the latest reports posted by all of your friends. Even with all of this information at your fingertips it's still a good idea to talk to your buddies firsthand or get out there with your team.
Good luck, be safe!
